is an indigenous Christian organization with a mandate of restoring hope to the orphaned and vulnerable children as well as the vulnerable persons in the community by facilitating them to realize their spiritual, emotional, social and physical lifestyle. Ourkids-Uganda is located in Uganda, Jinja District about 70km from Kampala, Uganda's capital city. Ourkids-Uganda was started as a church initiative to address the overwhelming need for support among orphaned children and widows in the church. However, the need for services was realized to be needed beyond the church boundaries. In light of this, and in expectation of the future, owing partly to unending spread of HIV/AIDS, Ourkids-Uganda incorporated as a community based organization with headquarters in Jinja a town in Eastern Uganda, about two hours away from Kampala the city of Uganda.

Ourkids-Uganda care for children affected and afflicted by the HIV/AIDS scourge in rural communities of Uganda with a high occurrence of orphans who have lost parents as a result of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We also look at the needs of widowed mothers who have lost their husbands due to the same cause as we lobby for support to empower them in ways they are capable of raising support to bring up and nurture their children in better environments.
