Ourkids-Uganda empowers widows financially and psychosocially since many times the widow whose husband
has died of HIV/AIDS has no marketable skills as to cope with the situation Ourkids-Uganda
assists these widows and care givers with practical skills to enable them support themselves and care for the children. Ourkids-Uganda provides start up
equipment and funds to start small business. These efforts indirectly impact the lives of hundred of children. OURKIDS-Uganda also teaches widows,
orphans, and the general public vocational skills in crafts making, tailoring and will soon introduce computers studies as soon as computers are
available. Volunteers are always needed to help teach these trades. Any other skills outside the above listed are highly welcome,
especially new interventions that emphasize productivity.
You can also empower our tailoring class with a sewing machine or more. The ratio of people per machine is currently many widows.
This vividly explains why our output has been hampered. Other needs like cloth materials for the same class are quite required.
